Parking at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh

Are worries about parking keeping you from visiting us in Oakland? In addition to the limited on-street parking in front of the library on Schenley Drive, you can use the parking lot behind the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History. The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is part of the museum complex. Drive in at the intersection of Craig and Forbes, park and then enter through the library portal across from the rear entrance to the Carnegie Museum of Art to reach our 'backdoor.'

Here are the parking rates:

Weekdays:
0 - 1 hour: $3
1 - 2 hours: $4
2 - 3 hours: $5
3 - 4 hours: $5
4 - 5 hours: $5
5 - 6 hours: $10
over 6 hours: $15

Evening Rate:
$5 after 5 pm

Weekends:
$5 per day

Or take Public Transportation. Bus routes 61A, B, and C and 67A, C, E, F, and J stop directly in front of the museum on Forbes Ave., and routes 71B, C, and D stop one block north of the museum at the intersection of Fifth Ave. and South Craig Street.
